Description: The School of Art and Design in the College of Creative Arts at West Virginia University is seeking applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Art Therapy/Art Education, commencing August, 2018.
Duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the Art Therapy and/or Art Education BFA/MA program, specifically art methods classes for art education majors and courses in the visual arts therapy graduate certificate program. The successful candidate will conduct a research/scholarly activity agenda appropriate to the discipline of art education and visual arts therapy. Development of outreach activities and participation in University and School committees, advising, recruitment, professional service and participation in faculty governance is expected.
Date of Appointment: The position is a full-time, nine-month, visiting assistant professor in Visual Arts Therapy/Art Education. The position is a one-year appointment, starting August 10, 2018 , that can be renewable up to three years.
