NYU's prestigious Leonard N. Stern School of Business has an exceptional and challenging opportunity for an Associate Director, Global Study Tours. The Associate Director will develop and implement a strategic plan for five week-long Executive MBA Global Study Tours and ensure the successful delivery of the programs. S/he will design the content of the tours that involve business leaders, educators, government figures, and nonprofit professionals, and cultivate relationships with organizations and C-level executives abroad to engage them in the program. The selected candidate will also direct the planning and development of the Global Study Tours (GST) program by designing content and materials, arranging travel logistics, and developing ongoing relationships with the program's students, alumni, and faculty members. The Associate Director will work closely with students in the program before, during, and after the tour, as well as oversee the program while abroad. Additional responsibilities include coordinating networking events for students and assisting with marketing efforts on behalf of the Executive MBA program.
The selected candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) along with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience or equivalent combination. Experience coordinating administrative activities, including academic advisement, counseling, and supervision of staff is essential. International travel is also required. The selected candidate must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication, as well as strong organizational skills. Exceptional relationship building, project management, attention to detail, and knowledge of program and event management are essential. Candidates with experience in an international environment are preferred.
