The Ohio State University at Lima is one of five campuses of The Ohio State University. Current enrollment on the Lima campus is approximately 1,000 students and there are approximately 65 full- and part-time faculty in all academic departments. Average class size at the Lima campus is 18 students, and includes a mix of traditional and nontraditional students. Ohio State Lima offers the first two years of the Ohio State general education curriculum and eleven programs leading to baccalaureate degrees in nine disciplines.

The Lima campus of the Ohio State University seeks a qualified individual with a strong commitment to the teaching mission of the Ohio State University to join the English department as a lecturer to start in autumn 2018. This part-time (87.5% FTE) position is expected to involve teaching 21 credit hours, typically split into seven three-credit courses (or the equivalent) each academic year (Autumn and Spring semesters). Courses include English composition and introductory literature.
preparing course syllabi aligned with the established curriculum and learning objectives
preparing and delivering in-person lectures for the assigned courses
setting and running standard office hours for students
preparing and grading assignments aligned with course objectives
answering student emails
participating in department meetings
other related duties as assigned
This position has the possibility of annual renewal based on positive performance reviews and departmental needs.
