Shriners Hospitals for Children–Salt Lake City is looking for a full-time, successful and enthusiastic Associate Director of Development / Major Gift Officer to identify prospects, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors via personal visits, written and oral communications; and develop and write grant proposals and reports as the main contact for Foundation, Corporate, and Government funders. This is a new position in a rapidly growing Development Department with numerous untapped major gift prospects.
The ideal candidate will work well both collaboratively and independently. Reporting to the Director of Development, the AD / MGO must have: minimum of 5 years fundraising experience, with at least 3 years of direct major and planned giving; a track record of closing 5-figure and higher gifts; excellent written and oral communications; strong organization, and time management skills; and the ability to manage multiple projects independently. Bachelor's degree is required. Submit cover letter, resume, and writing sample. Applications without a letter or writing sample will not be considered.
