The Veterans Outreach Coordinator is a part of the Office of Veterans Services (OVS) team which provides support services to veterans and dependents across the University. OVS strives to ensure that veteran students experience a smooth transition from military to University life.
The Veterans Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for initiating, developing, and coordinating veterans outreach programs in conjunction with University departments, the veterans' community, and military installations to increase veteran student enrollment at the University. The incumbent will be responsible for establishing relationships with prospective military-affiliated students and counseling them on academic opportunities, the admissions process, and how to apply for and use military education benefits. Other responsibilities will include serving as the first point of contact for new military-affiliated students, participating in outreach activities on and off campus, and representing the University to the veterans' community and the public. The incumbent must provide excellent customer service to prospective students and their families.
