The Day Camp Assistant is responsible for working with our Day Camp Director to implement programs and activities for up to 24 Day campers aged 4-8 years.

III. Specific Responsibilities 100% Responsibilities include helping to lay out supplies and materials, assist campers during activities, supervising campers throughout the day, communicating with parents daily, and supporting the Day Camp Director with other duties as assigned.
IV. Qualifications Successful candidates will be at least 17 years of age by July 1 and have previous experience in working with children in kindergarten through second grade. Day Camp Assistant must be exciting and enthusiastic in engaging with very young campers. Must be confident with public speaking. Experience in outdoor programming, education and/or recreation preferred. Able to work with diverse populations, supervise youth and work with the Day Camp Director and the team at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ontario County.
POSITION DETAILS: This is an exempt, full-time position, 40 hours per week.
