As an Associate Analyst 3, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the lead analyst to prepare for Rating Committees and Portfolio Reviews by gathering data, preparing charts and financial models and applying Moody's methodologies
Assists in portfolio monitoring including updating performance spread sheets and helping with credit reports and other surveillance publications
Works with a team of analysts on various analytical and statistical projects. In addition, is able to analyze/interpret financial models, as applicable to each line of business
Assists in discussions with issuers/ investors / intermediaries
Builds and maintains relationships with key contacts from various departments in the firm (e.g., press desk, production, financial writers and editors, etc.)
Research & Ratings Support
Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Engineering, Statistics, or Finance
Prefer 1-2 years of relevant work/ internship experience
Progress towards completion of CFA Level I or other certificate in accounting finance preferred
Experience/interest in working with financial instruments and/or accounting e.g., balance sheet, income and cash flow statements, financial modelling
Working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
Solid verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills a must
