And you'll do your life's best work.(sm) The Physician Scheduler is charged with monitoring MSLA clinic schedules and ensuring provider coverage is appropriate for scheduling needs. The Physician Scheduler communicates with clients and providers to maximize the outreach of our provider network. Primary Responsibilities:Serves as the provider liaison maintaining regular communication to obtain availability; updates e-Schedule accordinglyAttempts to obtain coverage for schedules in emergency situationsArranges travel for providers in accordance with their contract with MSLAPrepares provider service agreementsPrepares and submit paneling documentation to appropriate agenciesMonitors providers with a State-issued "conditional approval" to ensure requirements are met until final approval is grantedMonitors MSLA schedules and contacts providers to obtain availability as the need is identifiedContacts and secures clinic dates from lessors' office for shared facilitiesSends revised schedules to lessors' offices of days to be usedMonitors VA scheduling request logApprove/deny requests for clinic time depending on clinic availabilityInforms MSLA clients of available schedulesIdentifies cancellations of schedules based on business needs and inform doctors and MSLA supervisorsMonitors providers' credentials by tracking expiring licenses and malpractice policiesResearching providers' credentialing against the medical and psychological board, OIG; Confirms board certification on MSLA CE doctors
Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 1 year of general office dutiesMinimum of 1 year of experience with physician scheduling or medical front officePreferred Qualifications:Associate's degree2 years of experience with physician schedulingCareers with MSLA.
