The Compliance Manager will monitor changes to laws and regulations to ensure compliance with State & Federal laws, regulations and mandates. He/She will assist the Compliance officer to implement standard policies, procedures, processes and best practices across Optum, part of the UnitedHealth Group family of businesses, to promote compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations. He/she Will also conduct state-specific legal research and monitor changes to requirements to mitigate risks and achieve compliance.Primary Responsibilities:Create and maintain a regulatory inventoryUpdate relevant policies to ensure they reflect regulatory requirements for the respective entitiesContribute to compliance risk assessmentsContribute to monitoring and testing coverage plans and related metricsIdentify aggregate, report and escalate compliance risks, issues and control enhancementsAssist in the execution of governance and management routinesIdentify compliance training needsAssist with preparations for regulatory exams and audits, as neededCompliance testing/monitoringStrive not only to meet compliance standards, but also to exceed them for peak operating efficiencyWork with the other support partners closely to implement the best practicesConsult with attorneys and other professionals on compliance mattersProvide leadership to and is accountable for the performance and results through multiple layers of management and senior level professional staffDevelop, implement, and maintain the compliance program within Optum
Required Qualifications:CA/MBA Finance or other similar degree6-8 years of experience in field of Compliance/Risk ManagementExpertise in the Anti-Corruption Act & Local LawsWorking knowledge on Data Privacy & AML lawsStrong communication skills both verbal and written with multiple levels of leadershipIndependent thinker, ability to make sound decisions and judgmentsStrong analytical skillsCareers with Optum.
