Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator to report to the Director of Scheduling and Space Management. This position is responsible for a variety of tasks including collecting and analyzing data, writing reports, and making utilization recommendations for the portfolio of more than 15 million gross square feet of space within the units and schools of Rutgers University–New Brunswick. Functioning collaboratively, among the key duties of this position are the following:
Understands all Rutgers University–New Brunswick space resources, needs, and opportunities on an ongoing basis, arrives at data-driven, creative, and effective solutions that reflect outstanding judgement regarding the ramifications of space decisions.
Works with other units to ensure proper space data utilization for various uses, including sensitive and important University priorities, such as calculating the Facilities and Administration (F&A) reimbursement rate, the Responsibility Center Management (RCM) budget model, and federal government grant compliance.
Maintains historical space management system for archival purposes.
Supports the realization of, and helps inform, the goals of the Rutgers 2030, the University's Physical Master Plan, as it pertains to schools, centers, and units that comprise Rutgers University–New Brunswick;
Conducts analysis on space utilization using the Archibus space management software and data analysis and visualization/reporting software including Tableau, Excel, and Access;
Produces reports on space usage and on prospective changes in space utilization and allocation, and helps formulate recommendations.
Conducts space audits as needed to verify space data, including occupancy and room use code;
Works with auxiliary sources, such as Rutgers Today announcements, OIT, and public safety to learn about changes in space and/or building conditions and updates space data as needed
Event planning, office outreach, special analyses, and other duties that arise on occasion
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in data analytics, public administration, business administration, space planning/interior design, architecture, or a related field.
Two years' experience with space and facilities planning, preferably in a higher education environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience with data analysis and reporting.
Must have strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills and proficiency or ability to gain proficiency in Archibus, Tableau, and Microsoft Office suite.
Must possess the ability to work with high-level administrators from various schools, centers, and offices with authority, diplomacy, and discretion.
Master's degree in one of the fields noted above.
Three years of experience in space and facilities planning.
Experience in statistical analysis software, such as SPSS.
Will regularly use Archibus Facilities Management Software, Tableau data visualization and analysis software, Excel, and – at times – Access.

No heavy lifting is required.
Use of computer hardware and software, and telephone communication.
Long periods of sitting.
Field visits to inspect spaces entail walking at a normal pace into and through a range of buildings, including 100-plus-year-old structures with stairs, narrow passageways, and the like.
