Primary Responsibilities:Develop and oversee end to end strategy for singular new business implementations. Serve as the subject matter expert for client implementation processes. Provides subject matter expertise in areas including project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on established project management techniques. Responsible for presentations to management on project updates, project cycle, and expected results. Ensures projects are completed on time and in scope. Identifies and resolves technical, operational and organizational problems within and outside own team. Manage and mitigate risks associated to the delivery of the implementation. Research and resolve complex inquiries/issues requiring expert job knowledge and comprehensive understanding of downstream impacts. Lead cross functional implementation team with direct and indirect leadership responsibility. Generate supporting materials for clients including implementation guides, system reference documents, and standard customer correspondence. Clearly and consistently track metrics and goals. Document decisions within project plan. Lead and participate in regular implementation meetings and provide status to leadership. Develop and improve existing processes and tools. Share best practices with other workgroup members. Mentor new hires and provide functional and technical expertise. Provide ad hoc support to internal customers and teamThis role will challenge your ability to work on complex projects where deadlines and scope shift frequently. Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 5+ years of Project Management experience 3+ years of experience managing outsourced vendor relationships Experience managing projects involving operational initiatives Operations experience within a matrix organization Experience leading matrix organizational projects/initiatives Experience managing (indirectly - 20-30 people) and mentoring staff Ability to travel minimally, for 1 or 2 meetings a year at vendor sites (MN or WI)Preferred Qualifications:Healthcare administration or healthcare benefits administration experience Ability to quickly build strong meaningful relationships both internally and externally Experience in the healthcare industry Ability to communicate complex information tailored specifically to the audience so that it is easily understood Ability to stay calm in difficult and highly stressful situations Government experienceCareers at UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual.
