And you'll do your life's best work.(sm) As an Accounts Payable Clerk you will prepare and maintain records of amounts owed and ensure prompt payment of invoices. Processes and verifies invoice coding of expenses, preparation of vouchers, and issuance of checks for payment. Individual will review documents for accuracy and compliance with organization policy and regulatory guidelines including proper authorization, documentation, general ledger coding, correct amounts, proper remittance and sales tax. Responsibility includes proper vendor and provider payments, as well as employee reimbursements. Primary Responsibilities:Process vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate paymentPerform statement reconciliations, preventing past due chargesEnsure proper authorization and documentation is obtained before invoice processingMaintain organized filing and documentation control.Vendor managementGenerate standard and ad hoc reports as requiredIdentify and communicate system needs and enhancements
Required Qualifications:High school diploma / GED or higher 1+ years direct accounts payable or general accounting experienceSoft Skills: Demonstrates knowledge and skills in Accounts Payable functionResponds to requests in a timely mannerSolves routine problems by following established procedures and transparent communication with managementWorks with others as part of a teamEnsures compliance with applicable internal and external policies, procedures and regulationsLeverage tools, resources and available information to detect potential fraud and takes appropriate action Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writingAbility to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timelinessCareers with MSLA.
