Job Summary: Responsible for the administrative operations and financial functions of the Covenant Medical Group (CMG). Supervises the clinical practice functions of physicians employed by CMG. Directs and monitors to achieve and maintain quality patient care and efficient/effective daily business operations. Provides leadership regarding Strategic Planning as it relates to physician issues for Covenant Health and other related entities.
Essential Functions: • Responsible for all identified outcome measures as denoted on Performance Assessment. • Management of the: - Clinical Program Directors for West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. - Finance Director and the associated Finance Department, Payroll process, AP process, and Benefits program. - Physician recruitment process and its internal recruiters; interaction with external physician search firms. - Manager of Imaging and Clinical Nurse Manager. - CMG Employee Satisfaction and Patient Satisfaction programs. - EMR and IDX information technology programs. - Corporate and medical liability insurance programs and the associated risk management program. • Oversees/Coordinates the provision of physicians for the various hospital programs supported by CMG. • Executive of the St. Joseph Health System and participation in its Physician programs. • Participation at the CHS Executive Management Team and Board meetings. • Development of new CMG programs. • Exercise creative approaches to problem solving. Deals with conflict and problematic situations in and open and tactful manner respecting the dignity of the individual(s).
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: • Knowledgeable in the principles of human resources administration, quality improvement, and JCAHO Standards. • Effective budgetary planning and administration skills. • Strong management and leadership skills. • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. • Able to establish and maintain effective relationships within and without the organization. • Effective public speaking skills, as well as the ability to develop and conduct effective presentations. • Computer skills (Windows-based Software). • Knowledge and ability to use accounting methods and interpretation of statistical data.
Minimum Position Qualifications: • Education: Master’s Degree (MBA, Master’s in HOM, or related fields). • Experience: At least five  years experience working in a senior position with a medical group.
Preferred Position Qualifications: • Experience working in a senior position with a medical group that is closely affiliated with or owned by a non-profit hospital. • Experience with the implementation / utilization of Electronic Medical Records in a clinic setting.
