Farmer School of Business: Assistant to the Dean to oversee daily administrative operations of the Farmer School of Business (“FSB”) Dean’s Office; provide professional administrative support to the Dean and Senior Associate Dean. This position requires flexibility, collaboration, and cross training with Assistant to Associate Dean’s position to ensure efficiencies within office. Serves as a member of the Dean’s Planning Team. Be responsible for internal and external correspondence for the Dean; oversee operations of Dean’s office; anticipate and act upon the office needs of the Dean's staff to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of daily operations; manages and support Faculty 180 and the Promotion & Tenure process in FSB; arranges and executes campus hosting and events for key stakeholders; responsible for the Dean's calendar with importance given to optimization of time; plans and manages all itineraries and travel arrangements for the Dean; provide in-depth support with projects, correspondence, and research; manages meetings and contact with internal and external constituents; other duties as assigned at the discretion of the Dean, Senior Associate Dean and Associate Dean.
Require: Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education beyond high school and relevant experience beyond five years; ability to provide executive support to the Dean in a professional manner and to work regularly with Associate Deans and the Assistant to the Associate Deans; excellent verbal/written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and analytical skills; ability to work under pressure; high level of organizational and public relations skills and knowledge of office procedures and protocol; ability to interact effectively with diverse members of the University community and outside constituencies; and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and to respond with precision and accuracy to deadlines having a short duration; supervisory skills, knowledge of computer and office applications; research skills. May be required to work some hosting events occurring on weekends or evenings. (Approximately 1-3 per year). Position is not eligible for H1B sponsorship. Desire: At least five years of executive administrative support for senior level management. Knowledge of Miami University’s systems including BuyWay and 25Live.
