The ASUN office headquarters are in Macon, Ga., with satellite offices at LakePoint Sporting Community in Emerson, Ga. The ASUN sponsors championships in 19 sports. Conference members include Florida Gulf Coast, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, New Jersey Institute of Technology, North Alabama, North Florida, USC Upstate and Stetson.
Areas of Responsibility
Serve as Primary Compliance Administrator
Provide interpretations of NCAA and ASUN Conference rules and regulations
Provide comprehensive rules education related to NCAA rules and regulations
Conduct campus compliance reviews as appropriate
Conduct the annual ASUN Compliance Seminar
Oversee ASUN participation in and compliance with regulations related to Coaches’ Certification, National Letter of Intent, Hardship Petitions, Student Assistance Funds, and ASUN Grants
Oversee the processing of all institutional reports of NCAA violations
Serve as staff liaison to the ASUN Compliance Administrators and conduct monthly calls
Assist the Senior Associate Commissioner for Governance and Student Support in specified areas to include, but not limited to, APR monitoring (including our agreement with Forward Progress), monitoring in-progress NCAA legislation, monitoring and executing proposed and approved ASUN policy changes
Bachelor’s degree required; Masters and/or Juris Doctor preferred
Minimum three years experience in NCAA Division I compliance; Five years, including three at Division I institution preferred
Proven experience communicating directly with identified constituents via oral, written and electronic communication
