The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) is a critical position in the Department of Dermatology to ensure oversight and coordination of all activities related to clinical trials. This position will work very closely with the Department Chair, Clinical Trials Unit Director, and PIs to ensure the proper administration of multiple clinical trials. They will provide support, coordination and leadership for drug/device studies that may involve industry-sponsored Phase I, II, II, and IV clinical trials, government or grant funded clinical research, and investigator-initiated clinical research. The CRC is expected to serve as a lead to Assistant CRCs, Junior Specialist, student assistants and volunteers.REQUIRED--Knowledge and understanding of dermatology and disease processes as applied to clinical research.--Administrative skills and ability to exercise good judgment, initiative and resourcefulness in making decisions.--Analytical skills to evaluate information, practices and procedures, formulate logical and objective conclusions and make recommendations for effective solutions.--Knowledge of basic anatomy and medical terminology.--Possess mathematical abilities to perform calculations involving basic accounting, body surface area (BSA) calculation and drug dosage calculations.--Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, and IRBnet.--Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.PREFERRED--Phlebotomy skills SPECIAL REQUIREMENT--Must be able to work variable schedule including over time to meet the needs of the department.--Will be required to travel on occasion for training and educational purpose.--THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
