As a director within our network contracting team, you'll guide the development and support of provider networks as well as unit cost management activities through financial and network pricing modeling, analysis, and reporting. Primary Responsibilities:Guide development of geographically competitive, broad access, stable networks that achieve objectives for unit cost performance and trend managementDevelop and execute strategies for a function or discipline that span a large business unit or multiple markets / sitesApply network configuration and incentive-based payment models as appropriate to improve quality and efficiencyDirect others to resolve business problems that affect multiple functions or disciplinesDirect work that impacts entire functions and/or customer accounts (internal or external)Supporting the market CEOs for all 3 lines of business (Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid)Driving strategic relationships with provider partners in the marketplace This challenging, high-profile role will put your skills and experience to the test daily. You'll be charged with leading the efforts to achieve synergy targets through contracting with our network providers. In addition, you will lead the high-performing team that supports the UnitedHealthcare client relationship for network/provider management.
Required Qualifications:Undergraduate degree or 10+ years of equivalent experience10+ years of provider contracting and relations experience and/or payer contracting with a provider5+ years of supervisory experienceAt least an intermediate level of knowledge of health plan operations including claims processing5+ years of experience with Medicare and Medicaid regulationsAbility to create and conduct effective presentationsProficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and AccessReside near PA market Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
