We have an exciting full-time opportunity for an Email Marketing Manager in our Washington, DC office. This individual will manage the marketing automation systems (Exact Target and Eloqua) and oversee email performance analytics. AAAS sends about 150M marketing related emails per year, so candidates with experience in high volume environments would be preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as point of contact for all external email communications
Measure and analyze email campaign performance
Manage the setup, coordination and execution of email campaigns
Identify new functionalities and capabilities within existing tools and systems for improved performance
Track, maintain, interpret and report regularly on email program metrics to appropriate parties
Set up A/B tests and evaluate metrics to inform the development of new tests and optimize existing programs
Identify new digital marketing tactics to increase conversions and customer count
Work with internal departments to educate on email procedures and processes
Work collaboratively across the Marketing team and organization to develop strong relationships
Provide guidance to graphic designers as needed

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field
Minimum of three years’ experience in a digital marketing role
Minimum of one years’ experience using email marketing systems, CRM, and web analytics systems
Strong knowledge of HTML
Understanding of paid media systems and best practices
Understanding of email systems and organization
Strong organizational skills and ability to think outside of the box
