Instructor/Visiting Assistant Professor in Applied Social Research

Social & Behavioral Sciences: Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor beginning fall 2018 to teach courses in Applied Social Research within the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Courses include Introduction to Applied Social Research, Social Science Research Methods, and the Applied Social Research Capstone, additional social science and methods courses, as well as working with students undertaking off-campus internships and independent research projects. The successful candidate is also expected to advise students and may have opportunities to engage in appropriate professional, institutional, or community service and may be required to teach a class on the Middletown or VOA Campus.
Require: PhD (for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor), Master’s (for appointment as Visiting Instructor) by date of appointment; ability to teach SPSS. Applicants should be well versed in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies as well as applied research in the social sciences. Experience with online teaching is strongly desired.
