As part of a dynamic business serving the Affluent Offshore customers based in Asia Pacific, the Insurance Sales Manager will assist to manage the overall insurance business for the bank's offshore unit, with specific focus on wealth and legacy planning needs of affluent customers. The incumbent's key responsibilities include the formulation and development of key strategies to ensure sustainable growth and profitability of the insurance business, providing leadership to drive direct distribution of high net worth insurance on the consumer banking platform in Singapore. This includes leading a team of insurance specialists, working in concert with the sales teams in ensuring that insurance is core to the wealth proposition, working with the bank's approved partnerships in product development and process implementation, including product gap analysis, sourcing, due diligence and launches. He/she should also have a deep understanding and knowledge of the various processes and controls to satisfy the regulatory and compliance framework around sales of insurance products.
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
Excellent interpersonal communication and a strong desire to achieve and have a disciplined approach to sales
Minimum a degree holder and further self-directed training in the area of Insurance products such as AFP/AFC or a CFP/ChFC certification
Minimum work of experience of at least 8 years working in an insurance company or financial institution with extensive sales experience in the area of insurance and/or bancassurance in relevant financial institution
She/he should also have intimate knowledge in the area of Insurance product development, knowledge of local regulations and strong process skills in the area of governance and control
Self-driven and an initiator with good work ethics
