Gannon University’s Morosky School of Health Professions and Sciences invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. We are looking for a broadly trained molecular biologist to teach introductory and upper-level courses in the Biology Department beginning August 2018. Requirements of the position include a Ph.D. (completed by fall 2018) in molecular biology, biology, or biology-related field. In addition, experience in mentoring undergraduate students in research is preferred. The successful candidate will teach courses, advise students, develop and maintain a research program and participate in service activities to support the University, community, and profession.
Qualified candidates will be expected to engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship as is appropriate to the application and receipt of tenure and promotion at Gannon. Ideally, candidates will have experience using course management systems for purposes of instruction and advising. Candidates must be able to support and promote the University’s inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.
