Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the overall planning, organization, direction and control of their respective areas of responsibility. Duties and responsibilities of the Manager include, but are not limited to: personnel management; monitoring system for billing issues, denials, and underpayments; policies and procedures development assistance, ensuring optimal customer relations, maximizing Accounts Receivable performance, optimizing cash collections, and overseeing Research Billing.
Ensures cash optimization and accounts receivable reduction activity is functioning to fullest capability.
Acts as liaison with internal and external business partners and departments.
Sets key performance indicators of RCO Teams. Monitors and reports on all accounts receivable key performance indicators to the Revenue Cycle Director.
Recruits, selects, orients and manages staff.
This position also works collaboratively with the Director of Revenue Cycle and Revenue Cycle Analysts to support department initiatives, perform applicable analysis, and manage key project initiatives.
This position is accountable for the operations management of the Revenue Cycle Operations department, which includes Medicare and Medicaid Follow-Up and Research Billing.
Ability to work collaboratively within and support key RCO initiatives (system upgrades, process improvement projects, etc).
Ability to perform 'data mining' and in-depth accounts receivable analysis as required.
Handles resubmissions of denials and ensures that department is maximizing reimbursement to efficiently lower A/R and speed up revenue cycle.
Manages Government Follow-Up and Research supervisor(s) and staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelors degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field or a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated, responsible experience in a Revenue Cycle department along with previous supervisory experience. Equivalent education plus experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
Strong knowledge of hospital patient financial services operations, industry bench-marking metrics and leading practice measurements required.
Proven leadership skills also required.
