Lakeland Regional Health in Central Florida is searching for an experienced Director of Safety & Security Administration who will d evelop, implement, and administer a comprehensive facility safety and security plan to ensure the protection of staff, patients, visitors and property. The scope of this role includes Safety and Security, and Emergency Management and Preparedness at our hospital and ambulatory facilities. Responsibilities include parking management, policies, serving as a liaison with state and local authorities, new construction projects as they relate to safety and security, internal control systems, budgeting, training, and compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, Master's preferred. Required certifications include Florida Class D Security License and State of Florida active motor vehicle license. Other requirements include IAHHS Basic Certification within one year of hire, Advanced IAHSS certification within two years, and IAHSS Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator within four years. Candidates who are Certified Healthcare Protection Administrators (CHPA), Certified Healthcare Protection Professional (CPP), or Advanced IAHSS certification are preferred. Successful candidate must have a minimum 7 years of experience in law enforcement, healthcare security, or military security with at least three of those at a supervisory level.
