Primary Responsibilities:Be a leader for a data-driven, decision-making culture for Medicare & Retirement's Insurance Solutions business. Transform how Insurance Solutions collects, manages, uses, and publishes data Together with senior business and technology leadership, this role will plan, develop, and implement strategies to that drive growth, produce world class consumer experiences, and sustain long term value Partner with functional leaders (e.g., Product Development, Pricing, Underwriting, Marketing, Sales, Claims Operations, Finance, Legal, Regulatory) to develop and implement business data strategies and a three year roadmap that will drive business outcomes Partner with the information technology organization to define, prioritize, and implement data capabilities and help shape the evolution of the enterprise data reference architecture Partner with data scientists, statisticians, and IT to ensure the required data can be acquired, curated, integrated, and made rapidly available to drive the full range of analytics (e.g., descriptive, predictive, prescriptive, exploratory) across the varying business dimensions (e.g., consumer analytics, performance optimization, health care analytics) Identify new types and sources of data to drive business innovation throughout the organization. Define processes for the effective, integrated introduction of new data. Lead the business with the appropriate use of emerging big data and machine learning solutions Provide data expertise and consulting services to teams developing new capabilities to ensure data is available, reliable, consistent, accessible, secure, and timely to support the mission and activities of Insurance Solutions Lead and manage the Data and Analytics Governance function, including the management of internal staff and associated projects Ensure that the data used for financial reporting and to support legal requirements is valid, reliable, traceable, timely, available, secure and consistent Be the leader with responsibility and accountability for enterprise information assets. Work to identify methods of leveraging data in rapid fashion to enable business value Define job roles, capabilities, functions, and processes to maximize the effectiveness of data / information teams across the segment and help empower each group to provide business value through data and analytics insights Help define and champion policies and programs for data stewardship and custodianship in concert with data governance, legal, information security, and corporate risk and compliance offices. Partner with the Data/Analytics Governance Team to advance the role of the business data stewards in each major business unit Partner with Data & Analytics Governance and IT to ensure master data and metadata management policies, controls, and standards, including reference data, are optimally implemented and leveraged to meet quality and compliance standards Represent the enterprise to regulators, customers, suppliers and external bodies in the development of industry information standards
