The Department of Accounting at Texas A&M University-Commerce is seeking applications for a non-tenure track Instructor position teaching undergraduate courses in Accounting beginning in Fall 2018 or Spring 2019. Candidates are expected to provide instruction in Government/Not-for-Profit Accounting, Financial Accounting, Auditing, and/or Individual and Corporate Tax.
The successful candidate will be required to teach five undergraduate courses, prepare syllabi, select course materials, and deliver instruction both online and on-campus. Texas A&M University-Commerce campuses include Commerce, Dallas, and online. The successful candidate may be requested to teach day, evening and/or an occasional Saturday class if needed.
Instructional duties may also include student advising, curriculum development, research, and service on university committees.
Other duties may include 1) working cooperatively with others, 2) actively engaging in community service that specifically benefits the University, College of Business, and Department of Accounting and 3) participating and engaging in decision making, policy setting, reviewing changes and actively serving on institutional committees.

Qualifications for non-tenure track appointment at the rank of instructor include a MSA or MBA degree with an emphasis in Accounting from an accredited university.
Active professional license required: CPA, CMA, CGMA, CIA, CFE, or Enrolled Agent. Other professional certifications may be considered.
Candidates must be committed to effective teaching, professional and scholarly research, and university and community service.
The candidate must have completed at least 18 hours of graduate level accounting.
The successful candidate is required to have at least 2-years of experience working as an accountant for a public accounting firm, industry, or with a governmental entity.
Teaching experience at the university level online or on-campus is preferred.
