We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst responsible for eliciting and documenting business requirements from stakeholders; identifying problems that need to be solved for Claim; and understanding stakeholder pain points and any roadblocks. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for managing user acceptance testing (UAT). Position will work collaboratively to plan and coordinate across various Business areas, IT Application Support Groups and segment Platforms and Functional Domains, including but not limited to; Claims and Billing, Clinical, Provider Network, Case Install, Constituent Services, Reporting and Analytics. Primary Responsibilities: Solicit business requirements and identify ambiguity in requirements Understand and clarify a business / technology problemIdentify changes in project scope and other impacts on the projectEnsure proper usage of Agile and/or RSA methodologyAnalysis of technology solutions optionsUnderstand the applications supported and their upstream / downstream impactDetermine feasibility of business requirements and recommend changes to support business needs and processesApply software development lifecycle methodology (SDLC) to evaluate current system processes and identify possible solution options for new functionality or modifications to existing functionalityWork collaboratively with business partners, SMEs, Developers and Testers to ensure a shared understanding of business requirementsEnsure that system solution options are thoroughly researched, analyzed and documentedProvide support to Quality Assurance on development of test approachesProvide support to Applications Development through participation in Design Reviews
Required Qualifications:Strong knowledge of all Business Functional Domains including:ClaimClinicalProvider NetworkCase InstallConstituent Services Reporting and AnalyticsEnd-to-end knowledge of Project System Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC)Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skillsAbility to partner with a team of subject matter experts across Claim processing platforms and various function domains in the UHG organizationAbility to work independently to meet deadlinesComfortable with rapid change in the work environmentAbility to work quickly to meet aggressive deadlinesProven experience building solid relationships across the organizationUHG organizational, system and policy knowledgeDemonstrated ability to communicate clearly with Claim leaders and other internal and external audiences UHG organizational, system and policy knowledgePreferred Qualifications:Exposure to multiple claim processing platforms desiredExposure to Oxford PULSE platformExpert use of technology and process improvement tools and techniquesKnowledge of State and Federal regulations that govern claim paymentKnowledge of claims payment policies, procedures, and multiple systems supporting claim payment process Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
