Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Coordinator.
In this role, the successful candidate will provide administrative coordination and oversight of over ten fellowship programs.
Assist in the recruitment process for new fellows for all ten fellowship programs
Participates in the selection process of new fellows into the pediatric training programs
Oversees the orientation of new trainees which includes training and evaluation of administrative staff who assist in this endeavor
Designs evaluations for fellowship directors on program curriculum and recruitment process and creates reports to interpret the results.
Creates, reviews, and maintains policies and procedures related to all educational endeavors. Ensures compliance with accrediting agency standards as well as university and departmental policies regarding education. Acts as a resource to faculty and fellows regarding the interpretation and implementation of these policies.
Develops and oversees budgets for the various educational programs as well as individualized educational stipends and research grant allotments for each trainee.
Develops and oversees the maintenance of all educational program records including preparation of reports for accrediting agencies and university administration, providing statistical analysis of educational programs within the department.
Ensure compliance of Chair Goals as directed by GME: Patient Quality Curriculum, Evaluations, Duty Hours, Schedules, Scope of Practice, Personnel, CCC identified
Other administrative duties: Verifications of training, Payroll of fellows, New innovations-creation of schedules
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field. Two years of experience coordinating Programs or programs or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to Program manage and to multi task while paying attention to details
Preferred Qualifications: Three to five years of graduate medical education experience
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
