And, this is where you will do your life's best work.(sm) As a Digital Portfolio Manager supporting UnitedHealthcare's Digital organization, you will assist leadership by partnering with Optum Technology, UnitedHealthcare Information Services and the business to manage business demand to the IT organization, play a pivotal role in annual planning processes, and ensure business deliverables and needs are met. The Digital Portfolio Manager partners with the business to assist with business planning and the process to evaluate and prioritize technology investment by:Increasing the alignment of capital investments and operating costs to business strategy Assisting with prioritizing and scheduling programs Partnering with the business to monitor and identify action required on the investment portfolio Ensuring the involvement of key stakeholders in the business planning and portfolio management process Please note - this is an office based position located in Minnetonka, MN. This is not a telecommute position. Primary Responsibilities:Understand the organization's business strategy, operating vision, business capabilities, product & financial strategy and technology imperatives Assist with defining and executing the portfolio investment strategy, ensuring that funding decisions are aligned with business strategic priorities Integrating business plans, technology roadmaps and the capital plan Partner with business and IT stakeholders to identify the highest priority programs Critically evaluate portfolio value, time to value and risk to value for the Digital capital portfolio Work closely with the analytics function to define KPIs, measure results, and shift investments to maximize ROI Understand, evaluate and manage risks to the portfolio Assist with operational expense planning, partnering with key business stakeholders and the finance team Identify ways to maximum portfolio investment results within the capacity of the budget and staffing Demonstrate and communicate the value of portfolio management to IT and business stakeholders Communicate effectively and timely with appropriate peers across the business and IT organization
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree 4+ years of experience developing solutions to key business problems 2+ years of experience working in a large, matrixed enterprise environment 2+ years of Portfolio Management experience 2+ years of Finance experiencePreferred Qualifications:Master's degree Experience in health care benefit business Experience managing complex capital portfolios in consumer facing businesses Experience working with agile product teams and processesCareers with UnitedHealthcare.
