We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Revenue Management Analyst - Process Improvement.
This position is a dynamic role serving hospital revenue cycle department responsible for reimbursement opportunities throughout the hospital center. Position responsibilities include pricing analyses, measurement of benefits achieved, maintaining all aspects of reimbursement related processes (including pricing, CPT/HCPCS codes, revenue codes, descriptions and other billing variables), meeting with department heads and service line Vice Presidents to review managed care contracts, chargeable items, pricing, presenting to senior leadership on revenue opportunities across all campuses. Position may include oversight of lower level analyst(s) including training and general oversight and distribution of team assigned projects.
Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
Conducts comparisons and other analyses of reimbursement metrics. Proposes pricing options in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Oversees departments pricing and reimbursement processes and related key performance indicators. Acts as point person / liaison for all department inquiries regarding managed care contracts, pricing, and reimbursement.
Serves as leader within the revenue cycle department regarding reimbursement issues, measurement and reporting or pricing and reimbursement metrics.
Extracts and complies data from various system sources to develop sound analyses leading to potential revenue cycle opportunities, conducting analyses related to managed care contracts, pricing methodologies, CDM pricing, and/or patient financial services.
Maintains data integrity when manipulating data files for purposes of analysis.
Liaises with department heads and other hospital personnel and executives for the purposes of information gathering to enhance reimbursement opportunities.
Provides information and reports to other hospital constituencies regarding reimbursement and pricing.
Supervises and trains other analysts as needed.
As an employee with Management level standing, demonstrates leadership qualities in all aspects of work.
Demonstrate the ability to think critically, work independently, takes initiative, with limited work direction and to contribute to the strategic planning of all projects assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Must have a BA/BS in Finance or Business Management, plus 2-3 years of experience in Finance or a related field.
Previous experience in a hospital finance setting (i.e. reimbursement, charge master, patient financial services, hospital operations, etc.).
High level of analytical skills, and excellent communication skills required.
Microsoft Access, Excel and Word are required.
PowerPoint and Epic knowledge.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
