We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior II Developer - Solutions Development.
This position acts as a seasoned professional providing advanced expertise in a complex professional discipline. This position understands the work processes of assigned business areas, and collects user requirements and translates them into well-engineered, tested, and deployed business application systems. Responsibilities include the analysis, design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of information. This position works independently with limited work direction. Work is reviewed periodically and on an exception basis.
Works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
Aligns business and IT strategies, and complies with MCITs architectural standards.
Participates in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and/or supporting application software.
Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code
Participates in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy versus build recommendations.
Participates in systems analysis and design using development, quality assurance and integration methodologies.
Conducts complete diagnostics of most business problems.
Anticipates implementation obstacles
Develops specifications and designs technical systems
Selects tools and methodologies for projects and has direct input to budget and resource planning.
Meets project deadlines and commits to deliverables with customers and/or management.
Mentors less-experienced staff with responsibility for their technical development.
BA/BS degree or equivalent.
7 or more years of experience.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
