SUMMARY Synchron is seeking qualified candidates to support the Navy’s Littoral Combat Ship (LSC) program office. This program provides key support for the acquisition and maintenance of the sea-frame and mission modules for the LSC program, Synchron is recruiting for a number of key positions to support this program. This program requires experienced staff to assist the program. Synchron will provide shall provide expertise in the areas of Program Management, Business and Financial Management Planning and Execution, Systems Engineering, Mission Systems Engineering, Production Planning and Engineering, Test and Evaluation Engineering, Life Cycle Engineering Support, Baseline Management, Mission Readiness, and Fleet Introduction and Lifetime Support.
Perform Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) engineering, design, and technical support to the Littoral Combat Class Sustainment Program.
Assist with the review of design drawings, changes, ship specifications, CDRLs, and verify that planned equipment installations and drawings are in accordance with contract requirements.
Review items for technical accuracy, assisting with the developing technical solutions to hull unique and class issues in coordination with SEA05 and relevant ISEAs.
Perform technical assessments, evaluating, and advising the government on equipment and system problems.
Assist with the planning and tracking of work packages to ensure Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) requirements for CNO Availability planning milestones are met.
Monitor CASREPs, Departure from Specifications (DFS), and Liaison Action Requests (LARs).
Participate in Failure Review Boards, Availability Planning Conferences, Configuration Control Boards, Risk Boards, and Safety Working Groups.
Provide recommendations to government staff on modernization priorities.
Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture; Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of fleet maintenance and modernization procedures associated with Navy directives, including the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) and Navy Modernization Process
Directly related experience with In-Service Engineering processes and procedures
Ship Yard Supervisor (SUPSHIP), Planning Yard, Shipbuilding or Regional Maintenance Center (RMC) experience
