Postdoctoral Fellow - School of Pharmacy-(160001DZ)
An exciting new postdoctoral fellowship opportunity is available with The PATIENTS Program ( www .patients.umaryland.edu) starting January or July 2017 within the University of Maryland Baltimore, School of Pharmacy's Department of Pharmaceutical Health Services Research. Fellowships provide multidisciplinary, advanced training to health services researchers and clinicians and prepare fellows for positions in academia, government , the pharmaceutical or insurance industries, and consulting. This position does not require a clinical degree but does require an interest in health-related research and training or experience conducting qualitative research.
Fellows engage in qualitative analysis and patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR) with activities funded by AHRQ , NIH, PCORI, other federal and state of Maryland government agencies, foundations, and private corporations. Training includes, but is not limited to, mentored research, grant-writing, and teaching experiences; it may also include coursework in PCOR.
Successful candidates will be involved in work with the AHRQ-funded PATIENTS Program as well as other PCORl-funded projects and other PCOR projects. The positions involve working closely with academic, patient, and other stakeholder partners.

Strong qualitative skills are required. Experience with research and/or training, and excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills are desired. A PhD in a health-related discipline is desired, but clinicians with qualitative research training and/or experience are also encouraged to apply . Experience with community-based participatory research (CBPR) is desirable.
