Responsibilities · Deliver and maintain, across all areas undertaking retail credit risk activities, an assurance and oversight programme to ensure that retail credit risk is managed in line with policy and risk appetite.
Programme to cover: · Ongoing independent oversight · Themed reviews (or deep dives) into specific areas · Complete annual reviews and maintenance of all policies related to Retail Credit Risk · Support governance requirements relating to credit risk management · Maintain and update the credit policy framework and deliver credit policies, providing guidance to business areas. · Support and work effectively with other areas of the business. Examples of this could be involvement in project working parties or integrated assurance reviews with other areas of 2nd line Risk. · Provide documented evidence of oversight and assurance activity · Support the reporting and tracking requirements associated with assurance actions · Analysis and understanding of MI and reporting to identify potential credit risks and prioritise assurance review plan for the year
Skills and experience · Ability to plan and prioritise effectively · Good communication skills · SAS/ SQL knowledge would be advantageous · Ideally have experience within a Retail Credit Risk Portfolio
Monitoring Team · Experience of Retail Modelling would be advantageous · Retail Credit Risk Assurance experience including:
- Technical knowledge and demonstrated experience of Retail Credit Risk across the customer lifecycle - Experienced in undertaking oversight and assurance - Ability to correlate and understand data - Understanding of current regulation - Writing, syndicating and gaining buy-in from stakeholders
