We are seeking candidates to work as Camp Counselors at 4-H Camp Bristol Hills located in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York State.
Camp counselors provide leadership, guidance and supervision for a cabin group of campers ranging in age from 7-16 years, within the larger camp program. Participate in general planning and implementation of camp programming under the supervision of the Camp Director, Assistant Directors and Program Director. Assist with camp-wide activities as assigned. Understand and adhere to safety and health regulations. Participate in staff meetings and training events as scheduled.
Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Qualifications: Two years of CIT and/or LIT training or equivalent experience working with children. Must have at least one program skill suitable for camp leadership. Emotional maturity, good health, and vitality. Ability to work cooperatively with diverse populations of campers and other staff members. Willingness to learn. Must be at least 18 years old by July 1 to comply with NYS Department of Health regulations. First Aid and CPR certifications desirable.
