Vice President for Enrollment Management- Mount Saint Mary College
Mount Saint Mary College, rated by U.S. News & World Report as a top-tier regional university, is seeking a Vice President for Enrollment Management. The Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM) provides leadership and guidance to the departments of College Admissions, Financial Aid, and Marketing and Communications. Serving as a member of the President’s executive leadership team, the VPEM will be responsible for leadership and management of the College’s Admissions’ programs, integrating related functions to achieve enrollment goals consistent with the College’s mission, strategic plan, and Dominican heritage. The VPEM must have strong leadership qualities; the ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues throughout the campus community; outstanding communication skills and willingness to involve members of the extended campus community in recruitment and enrollment-related activities; the ability to learn, use, implement, evaluate and recommend current and future technologies in the enrollment management area; have strong administrative, financial management/budgeting , planning and problem solving skills; and strong working knowledge of current higher education, enrollment and financial aid issues in the State of New York, nationally, and internationally.
Direct the development and implementation of a comprehensive enrollment management and recruitment plan for successful recruitment and enrollment of traditional students, adult and graduate learners, military veterans and international students.
Collaborate with campus leadership to support a culture that promotes recruitment, retention and completion for diverse student populations through coordinated campus initiatives and resources.
Oversee the implementation of financial aid strategies and policies, through collaboration with the Vice President for Finance and Administration in the leveraging of financial aid, pricing and related issues to optimize the use of federal, state and institutional resources in the recruitment and retention of students.
Provide strategic direction and leadership to Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid and Marketing and Communications to achieve enrollment goals.
Assist responsible departments for development of their respective annual budgets.
Prepare annual report to the President.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the President.
A Master’s degree is required.
Experience in higher education enrollment management including budgetary and personnel responsibilities, strategic planning, and program development.
Five years in a leadership role in enrollment management with previous experience in Admissions and Financial Aid.
Knowledge of and experience in applying best practices in the areas of enrollment management (Admissions, Financial Aid and Marketing and Communications).
Excellent interpersonal, communication, management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work with professional integrity and discretion.
