Lead and inspire CHW's Leadership Annual and Major Gifts, Corporations/Foundations, and Planned Giving units throughout the state. This includes developing and driving on an overarching, national major gifts strategy. Guided by this major gift strategy, it also includes assuring the team meets annual established targets through thoughtfully leveraging the use of: goal setting and metric tools; pipeline and portfolio development; regular coaching; and, cultivation and stewardship programs developed to support the work of the gift officers. Grow the abilities and satisfaction of the gift officer cohort to help achieve stretch engagement and fundraising aims of the Foundation. Enhance collaboration by gift officers within the Foundation and throughout the System to optimize donor engagement through pairing with content experts. Growing philanthropic pipeline and gifts from individuals, maximizing planned estate gifts, and developing corporate strategies are key priorities for the System. Serve as delegate for President where necessary at internal and external exchanges about philanthropy.
Bachelor's degree and thorough knowledge of all fundraising methodologies, particularly major and principal gifts and strategic planning with at least 10 years fundraising experience; with at least 7 years of management experience.
Demonstrated ability to build and oversee programs that maximize team effectiveness and efficiency for optimal results.
Prior experience leading teams that have achieved gift revenue in excess of $10M per year.
Demonstrated competencies in leadership, prospect management and communication.
Personally secured individual gifts of $1 million or more.
Competencies in relationship building and working with boards, committees, and other volunteer governance entities.
Ability to lead and manage multiple projects and programs with energy and discretion.
Experience leading or participating in a major capital or comprehensive campaign preferred.
Experience working in a complex academic medical environment preferred.
