The role is to provide assistance to the asset management, development and delivery teams within Macquarie Capital Korea Ltd on a number of food waste recycling deals that they have in their pipeline. This candidate will undertake work on the following scope to provide recommendations, based upon which the development and asset management teams will make business / investment decisions:
Assistance with project management of food waste recycling projects in Korea including project development, construction, operations and sales and acquisition of project companies.
Assistance with reviewing and negotiating project agreements (EPC, O&M, DBO and others as relevant);
Prepare management reporting of deals under development, construction or operations which will cover (among other things) commercial, financial and operational performance;
Prepare internal presentations on aspects of the deal for management review;
Support to Macquarie Business in liaising with counter parties including customers, contractors, operators, Government and community interest groups;
Oversee EPC and O&M contractors to ensure their management systems are implemented and maintained;
Oversee the establishment of effective risk management systems and ensure all risks are identified and appropriately managed;
Any other tasks that would be required to fulfil the position.
Key skills and knowledge areas required:
A minimum of five (5) years' experience with an asset manager, food waste recycler, real estate development, consultant, utility or related field
Experience setting up and working in an operating business or a special purpose vehicle
Preference for experience working in the food waste recycling industry in Korea.
A working knowledge of the food waste recycling development and construction process in Korea.
Project management skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels.
Enjoy and be effective at developing and nurturing client relationships at the appropriate level.
Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills.
Be ambitious, motivated and have the drive to succeed.
Be a team player.
