The position is on a team that provides editorial services to the rest of the company. This team is responsible for ensuring that all BresMed materials are precise, correctly formatted, and consistent. Initially, the successful candidate will be expected to:
Work closely with the editorial team members
Be responsible for the editorial quality of internal company documents
Proofread content to a high editorial standard
Ensure that documents are in line with house style
Create style guides for individual projects
Support conference and journal submissions
During the course of the internship, the intern will have the opportunity to learn formal proofreading skills and extend responsibilities to client documents.
We are looking for a well-organised individual, who is detail focussed and works well to deadlines.
Excellent written English, including good spelling and grammar
A meticulous approach to work and an eye for detail
Good concentration, to focus on texts that may be lengthy
Excellent MS office skills
A degree in a biomedical science subject
Experience of EndNote
Compensation and benefits package:
£18,000 per annum
5 days paid leave, inclusive of bank holidays
