Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Regulatory and Risk Analytics Manager.
Support model development of traded risk models
In HSBC Asia Pacific, work on model governance for traded risk models and related model validation exercises
Manage and attend committees relevant to traded risk model governance, model performance and usage
Manage analysis relevant to regulatory approvals of Traded Risk models
In Asia Pacific, act as a point of contact to Global Businesses, Risk and Countries on matters relating to traded risk analytics models and standardised calculations under the current and future Basel Frameworks
Provide subject matter expertise and qualitative or quantitative analysis to assess the impact of changes in regulation and business environments
Advise the business on risk and capital treatment of new business and new or complex transactions
Work with the business on the implementation of a number of regulatory initiatives as well as the implementation of new products.
Drive internal model risk policy setting and related governance
Advanced degree holder in quantitative fields, such as Financial Engineering, Computational Finance, Risk Management, Finance, Physics, Math or Economics
Several years of experience in Traded risk modelling or implementation of risk models
Candidates with prior experience in Risk Management, Product control, capital management, regulators will also be considered for this role
Hands on experience in prototyping, testing and implementing models required
Knowledge of the Basel 2 and 3 market risk capital rules
Programming and system skills such as Matlab, R, VBA is required
Able to work in a dynamic and multinational culture and cope with high pressure
