Business Analyst - Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) 2

Regulation, Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) protect the integrity and reputation of Deutsche Bank. They manage the Bank's risks and help to avoid unintentional rule breaches and conflicts of interest. At the same time, they also advise us on ethical conduct and governance issues and keep our organisation up-to-date on regulatory and political challenges.
You'll be joining the Compliance Change Team which is a global function within Compliance which performs key project management roles for all Compliance initiatives and delivery of strategic regulatory projects (e.g. German Banking Separation Act, Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) II and Market Abuse Directive) globally.
You'll be primarily focussed on the MiFID II compliance project working across a number of themes within the project. You will have regular interaction with Compliance Leads as well as with Senior Managers across the Compliance function. Your responsibilities will include performing business analysis and process mapping activities across the Compliance project and then communicating the results to a wide variety of stakeholders.
You will also be required to work across the Compliance Change Book of Work in order to support other projects outside of MiFID II programme, providing business analysis activities to support the Compliance Change projects where necessary.
Providing management, analysis and solution design of themes within the overall MiFID II Compliance Programme
Process mapping activities of existing processes around Product Governance, Product Intervention, Complaints Handling and Communications Recording
Ensuring business requirements and benefits are clearly articulated, syndicated and integrated within the project
Generating business requirement documents for Product Governance, Complaints handling, Non-Financial Risk and Management board reporting
Designing and agreeing solutions with regards to key issues on the MiFID II programme with the relevant Stakeholders and ensuring those solutions are reflecting in the required project documentation
Monitoring and tracking status of deliverables across relevant themes
Tracking requirements, change requests and defects through the project lifecycle
Developing functional specifications and system design requirements as necessary
Monitoring and reporting of risks, issues and dependencies impacting all themes on MiFID II
Maintaining key project artefacts for MiFID II and other projects as required
Building long terms relationships with Stakeholders across Compliance, Infrastructure and Front Office
Maintaining an up to date awareness of relevant regulatory environment changes and their impact on various business / infrastructure activities
Skills & Qualifications:
Demonstrate a good working knowledge of MIFID II
Have knowledge of generalist regulatory experience from within the Financial Services industry
Previous experience of working within a large Change Management function, ideally within a regulatory environment
The ability to demonstrate problem solving skills coupled with the skills to work to tight deadlines whilst achieving good quality outputs
Ability to generate innovative ideas, challenging the status quo and delivering effectively
Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with the ability to interact with Senior Stakeholders
Structured, organised and results oriented approach whilst demonstrating a high level of diligence and attention to detail, and the ability to ensure high quality and consistency in the deliverables produced
Proven working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Project
A positive and flexible approach whilst operating in a constantly changing environment
A willingness to develop a skill base with respect to Project Management and a desire to work towards managing projects in the future
A flexible approach to day to day tasks with an ability to manage multiple deliverables across a variety of Stakeholders
