Retirement: The University contributes 4% of the regular salary with up to 3% of additional matched contributions into the TIAA Retirement Program. Other benefits include tuition remission for employee, spouse, and employee's dependent children under the age of 25 (this does not include the last two year of the PharmD program or the JD), and twenty days of paid medical leave per year.
Job Scope: The Raabe College of Pharmacy at Ohio Northern University is committed to preparing pharmacists for the ever-changing landscape of healthcare. We prepare pharmacists to serve as primary care providers, which reflects the needs of the underserved in our rural community. Successful candidates will help us meet this goal through growth of local and on-campus pharmacy practice experiences for student pharmacists through the creation of partnerships and other novel entrepreneurial ventures.
Principal Responsibilities: This individual will have responsibility for the growth of local and on-campus pharmacy practice experiences for student pharmacists through the creation of partnerships and other novel entrepreneurial ventures. The individual will work collaboratively with the existing ONU Healthwise team, the Chairman of the Department of Pharmacy Practice, the Dean, and other constituencies to assist the College in meeting its strategic goals.
The individual will share responsibility for teaching in the PharmD curriculum, in coursework commensurate with expertise, with an emphasis on self-directed learning. Collaborative scholarship is expected. In addition, the individual will contribute to the service responsibilities and shared governance of the Department, College, and University.
Required Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal relation skills. The individual should bring a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurialism to the position. The candidate must have a commitment to the preparation of undergraduates in a Christian-affiliated institution, and share a sincere interest in the personal well-being of our students.
Minimum Qualifications: A PharmD degree and a pharmacy practice residency or equivalent experience. The individual must be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Ohio. The willingness and potential to contribute to the research and service mission of the college is essential.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with experience in pharmacy or health-system administration or leadership within the profession are encouraged to apply. Strong entrepreneurial skills and a focus on innovation are preferred.
