The American Society of Nephrology (ASN)— which represents more than 16,000 physicians, researchers, nurses, and other health professionals dedicated to leading the fight against kidney —seeks a full-time Operations Associate.
Reporting to the ASN Vice President for Operations, the Operations Associate will provide general office support and assist the Operations team with administration, human resources, and governance issues. Responsibilities include providing administrative support for leadership activities to include maintaining policies, reviewing and approving travel expenses, posting and distributing meeting agendas and background material, developing and distributing a monthly update, coordinating meetings, helping to manage conflicts of interest and providing phone coverage. In addition, the Operations Associate will administer the ASN Awards Committee and coordinate the society’s awards.
The ideal candidate has strong administrative, organizational, time-management, business writing, and computer skills; experience with databases; and is detail- and deadline-oriented. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a cooperative attitude within and in support of a team, and an understanding of the importance of customer service. Undergraduate degree and a minimum of one year experience in a non-profit organization preferred.
