TheGraduate School (www.graduate.umaryland.edu/) at theUniversity of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) in collaboration with Anne ArundelCommunity College (AACC) is seeking applicants for a full-time SeniorLecturer, non-tenure track, 12-month appointment for the joint PhysicianAssistant Program. The primaryresponsibilities include teaching and evaluation in the didactic year and/orclinical clerkships including site visits. UMB Graduate School Senior Lecturerappointments are long-term, renewable contracts and are eligible forpromotion. Teaching and coordination of studentlearning activities during the didactic and clinical phase of the program
Participate in professional development toenhance teaching skills, including participation on established Graduate Schoolcommittees.
Involvementin student recruitment and admission interview processes
Maintenanceof student advisory group, monitor academic progress and mentor professionalism
Ongoingassessment of course content, student evaluation measures and program outcomes
Engagementin scholarly activity and service to the program, college, university andcommunity
Participationin national, state, and/or leadership activities relevant to physicianassistant education and practice
Stay abreast of new medical advances, classroom procedures, UMB requirements, and instructional materials.

Doctoral degree in Medicine with eligibility for Maryland licensure and completion of an accredited medical residency program in one of the following: Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Emergency Medicine or Pediatrics.
or a Masters prepared Physician Assistant from a regionally accredited institution with current NCCPA certification.
Two years' experience in discipline with expertise in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, or Emergency Medicine is required.
Experience in healthcare and knowledge of behavioral and population health is preferred.
Two years teaching experience is required with a proven record of excellence.
Experience in curriculum development is preferred.
Strong interpersonal abilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with students, staff, faculty, preceptors, clinical site staff, and organizational administrators.
