Advertised Summary Job Description: ColumbiaDoctors is one of the largest multi-specialty practices in the northeast and is affiliated with world renowned Columbia University Medical Center and New York-Presbyterian Hospital. ColumbiaDoctors is currently looking for a Revenue Cycle Manager for ColumbiaDoctors Clinical Revenue Office located in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for overseeing the Insurance Verification and Authorizations units in the Clinical Revenue Office. The Revenue Cycle Manager provides analytic support, problem solving and communication with clinical departments on all matters pertaining to revenue cycle needs. Key responsibilities include focusing on front end revenue cycle re-engineering, development, and implementation of future strategies.
General Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus five years of related experience.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS in Business Administration, Information Systems or equivalent in education and experience, plus 5 years of related experience in a physician billing or third party payor environment.
- Demonstrated skills in revenue cycle, problem assessment, resolution and collaborative problem solving in a complex and interdisciplinary settings. - Experience in data extractions (DBMS & Data Warehouse Tools) and analytics. - IDX system experience: knowledge of electronic billing systems for front end and back end functions and the willingness to learn new systems, applications and programs. - Proficiency in health insurance billing, collections and eligibility as it pertains to commercial, managed care, government and self-pay reimbursement concepts and overall operational impact. - Ability work independently and follow through and handle multiple tasks/special projects simultaneously. - Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. This position requires the ability to interact positively and constructively with employees, professional staff, community representative and carriers. - Must be a motivated individual with a positive and exception work ethic. - Ability to educate and train at all levels of professional staff. - Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. - Experience with Microsoft Applications (i.e. Excel, Word and Power Point), GE/IDX, DBMS, Cognos, and Experian Tools.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or Public Health Ability to speak second language
