This is a nine-month, tenure track faculty appointment.
A demonstrated and continuing record of research excellence is expected. In addition, a commitment to high-quality teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate level is expected. Teaching load and salary are competitive with research universities. Responsibilities also include regular office hours. Faculty are required to engage in activities to stay academically and professionally qualified for accreditation purposes. All tenured and non-tenured faculty are encouraged to engage in a program of service appropriate to their discipline. Faculty responsibilities and essential functions with respect to service may include but are not limited to: service to the administration and governance of the University, public service, and service to the profession.
Minimum Experience / Education:
UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
A Ph.D. degree from an accredited school in the field of accounting or closely related discipline is required. Candidates must have an outstanding research record commensurate with the level of appointment. Specializations in all accounting subfields are encouraged to apply.
