As an Associate Analyst 3, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the lead analyst to prepare for Rating Committees and Portfolio Reviews by gathering data, preparing charts, financial models and applying Moody's methodologies
Assisting in portfolio monitoring including updating performance data and drafting credit reports
Working with a team of analysts on various analytical and statistical projects.
Analyzing and interpreting financial statements, and models
Assisting and participating in discussions with issuers/ investors / intermediaries.
Building and maintaining relationships with key contacts from various departments within the firm (e.g., press desk, production, financial writers and editors, etc.)
The Associate Analyst 3 on Moody's North American Banking team will assist lead analysts covering US bank, securities firm, and finance company ratings. The position is a challenging, role where you will be responsible for providing analytical support to senior analysts to ensure rating accuracy and high quality research.
Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Engineering, Statistics, or Finance
Prefer 1-2 years of relevant work/ internship experience
Progress towards completion of CFA Level I or other certificate in accounting finance preferred.
Experience working with complex financial instruments and/or accounting principles e.g., accounting for derivatives financial instruments
Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
Solid verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills a must
