We have an exciting opportunity: Healthcare Data Curator In collaboration with a strategic academic research partner, the Data Curator will be a highly flexible, collaborative and innovative individual, committed to providing the best possible service to our customer and other stakeholders. The incumbent will undertake a range of operational and project-based activities that will advance outcomes-based research project objectives for Healthineers: data collection, organization & management, curation and preservation support, tools and services.
This role has primary the following responsibilities:
Function as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team using quantitative and qualitative methods to conduct clinical effectiveness and outcomes research.
Lead data identification, organization and management, and curation activities, including parsing, manipulating and transforming datasets from various file
Coordinate qualitative and quantitative research activities, including organizing unstructured data into clean, structured data and compiling and managing analytic databases.
Assist with data analysis and writing analytic reports.
Actively participate in curation process evaluation and development.
Monitor and report on all aspects of data curation activities.
Promote the database to researchers as a tool to be used in their research and as a way to gather more content.
Monitor and mitigate information redundancy.
Identify insights related to healthcare outcomes and the Siemens value chain portfolio.
Requirements & Capabilities
BA/BS in public heath, public policy, economics, psychology, sociology or a related field Masters preferred.
Demonstrated experience in curating and handling large data sets with particular understanding of requirements for longer term digital archiving and database maintenance
Demonstrated knowledge of quantitative and/or qualitative research experience or completed coursework.
Scripting programming (Perl/Python/R) experience to parse, manipulate and transform datasets from various file formats.
Effective communication skills, including the ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders and to communicate on complex technical issues with technical and non-technical audiences.
Great team player with excellent written and oral communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Systematic, structured, and pragmatic approach to tasks, with high attention to detail.
Multi-tasking and comfortable in working in a fast-paced environment. Able to deal positively and patiently with multiple requests and priorities
The ability to acquire new technological skills and resolve problems in a resourceful and timely manner.
