We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a PerDiem-Speech Language Pathologist in the RUSK HJD Speech Department. To qualify a Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology plus NY State License and Certificate of Clinical Competence in SLP from ASLHA required. Minimum two (2) years of continuous clinical experience in SLP. Knowledge of pediatric neurogenic communication disorders and proficiency in management of pediatric swallowing/feeding disorders. Willingness to adhere to a flexible work schedule. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. The ability to work effectively as a part of a transdisciplinary team with excellent report writing and verbal communication skills.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech-language pathology services (evaluation and treatment) to pediatric population under supervision, in an outpatient setting. Including any other duties deemed necessary by the Department Head. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Ongoing professional development continuing education, Required NYS for maintaining licensure.
Assesses patients communication function and abilities.
Patient/family counseling training.
Documents treatments rendered in accordance with departments protocol.
Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
