This new position will be focused on SPE’s information technology strategy as it relates to membership data integrity and analysis within a complex dues structure. This key role will have the responsibility to identify, critique and maintain systems critical to enabling SPE to reach its strategic goals surrounding membership. While primarily being a self-motivated, detail oriented individual, this position will also interact with both internal staff and external vendor partners on most initiatives.
The MDBA will report to the IT Manager while working directly with key internal stakeholders and external vendors and service providers. Responsibilities will support all membership recruitment, retention and engagement metrics directly related to the AMS while understanding the indirect relations to other applications and integrations such as SPE websites, apps, email marketing automation, event registration, external communication platforms, as well as the internal accounting software.
This position requires the ability to work independently while also contributing to team initiatives with out of the box thinking and multi-tasking to enable prioritized, swift, creative progress.
A proven track record should support the following specific responsibilities:
Maintaining membership database integrity from initial data entry through reporting across all fields while continuing to adapt through organizational trends and changes
Administer regular quality assurance audits of membership data entered internally or externally, as well as member record updates by staff, the member or by the automated drop process
Development and deployment of periodic queries, exports and reports, through use of dashboards, as required to gage the membership strategies and goals of SPE
Develop standard queries and reports for governance staff to run independently for monitoring the progress of chapter membership initiatives and dues pass-through compliancy
Collaborate on data flow/data syncs for external direct marketing campaigns, including management of data imports, exports, and coding for member acquisition campaigns
Recommend suggestions proactively to management for member data process improvements and additional reporting opportunities
Assist with data entry when volume dictates at peak times and implement automation where applicable and feasible
Build and foster relationships with internal team and external vendors to facilitate optimal progress towards reaching organizational goals and objectives
Exhibit strong curiosity around membership business intelligence and strategic analysis of trends influencing decisions for member retention, acquisition and engagement
Exhibit strong pride in work ethic especially regarding the timeliness of responding and accuracy of accomplishments before delivering results
5-10 years’ experience in the association space
5-10 years’ experience with IT related functions
Required cross-functional expertise in priority;
Association management software (Abila netFORUM Enterprise preferred)
Dashboard communication of data trends (Tableau preferred)
Server management (MS SQL preferred)
Telecommuting is allowed.
