The Department of Radiology currently has an outstanding opportunity for a HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR.
The Human Resource Coordinator contributes to the growth & success of the Department by executing the mission and vision. As a key member of the Radiology HR team this position will be responsible for the oversight and day-to-day activities involving staff human resource coordination. The HR Coordinator facilitates and administers major activities of the staff resources program, including analyzing and interpreting rules and regulations, developing processes and procedures, independently advises staff and program participants on program content, policies, activities and independently recommends appropriate course of action.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist HR Manager in the recruitment process for staff including assisting/writing job descriptions, posting job descriptions into UWHIRES, ad postings, interview scheduling, conducting screenings/references, initiate background checks for staff, HIPPA set up, verification of payroll documents, verify accurate contact information, assist with coordination of AMC account access, husky cards, UWMC badge and employee orientation registration for new staff employee
Coordinate onboarding of new staff employees and exiting of staff by initiating and maintaining the onboarding/exiting checklist
Track temporary staff appointments and request extensions as necessary and ensure temporary appointments are in compliance with University policies
Maintain accurate and up-to-date files for the Radiology HR department
Respond to a wide variety of inquiries that may involve researching programs, policies, procedures and LOA administration related to classified, exempt and/or academic staff and assist with benefit and other related inquiries from employees or forward to the appropriate groups as necessary
Answer benefit and other related inquiries (LOA, policy, etc.) from employees and/or forward to the appropriate group as necessary
Generate reports and data requests for team and clients, as needed
Support HR efforts by coordinating visa documents, validating data, and providing basic instructions to customers and assist with in other related duties
Assist in the development of new programs and services as they relate to Human Resources
Review staff employment processes and recommend revisions to enhance efficiency of department operations; assists in implementing changes to effect continual improvement in services provided; and complies with regulatory and legal requirements
Assist with quarterly staff meeting organization including room reservation, speaker coordination, and disseminating the information to Radiology staff

High School Graduation or equivalent and three years of office experience including at least six months of experience in a human resources or related setting OR equivalent education/experience.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Experienced with e-mail, internet, and web access
Professional appearance, communication style, and presentation skills
Time management and multi-tasking skills
Excellent customer service
Positive attitude to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced environment
2 years of Human Resources experience
Proficiency with UW payroll systems (i.e. OPUS, OWLS
Familiarity with recruitment of non-US citizens
Knowledge of and experience with other University systems
